Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CtrlViews at ctrlviews.com(“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and CtrlViews. Please read them carefully.

2. Description of Service

CtrlViews is an AI-powered analytics and content planning platform for content creators. The Service includes:

  • Platform Dashboards: Real-time and historical analytics for Twitch, YouTube, and Kick (viewer trends, top games, trending categories, title patterns, and more).
  • AI Content Tools: AI-assisted content idea rating, content improvement suggestions, content schedule generation, and game discovery recommendations.
  • Content Calendar: A scheduling tool to plan and organize your content across platforms.
  • Platform Connections: OAuth-based linking of your Twitch, YouTube, and Kick accounts for personalized channel analytics.
  • Token System: AI features consume tokens. Free accounts receive a limited token balance. Additional tokens are available through paid subscription plans.

CtrlViews aggregates publicly available platform statistics using background cron jobs and API calls. This aggregated data powers dashboards and AI features.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 years of age if you are in the EU/EEA) to use CtrlViews. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are using CtrlViews on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features, you must create an account using email/password or Google OAuth.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at noreply@ctrlviews.com if you suspect unauthorized access

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we determine to be in violation of these Terms.

5. Platform Connections

CtrlViews allows you to optionally connect your Twitch, YouTube, and Kick accounts via OAuth 2.0. By connecting a platform account:

  • You authorize CtrlViews to access data from that platform on your behalf, within the scope of the permissions you grant during the OAuth flow.
  • You confirm that you have the right to authorize such access.
  • You can revoke access at any time by disconnecting the platform from your account settings, or directly through the respective platform’s connected apps settings.

OAuth tokens are exchanged server-side only and are never exposed to the browser.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

6.1 Plans

CtrlViews offers a free plan (“Standart”) and paid subscription plans. Features available under each plan are described on the pricing page and within the application.

6.2 Billing Partner

Subscriptions are billed through our third-party payment provider, which acts as the Merchant of Record for CtrlViews. By subscribing, you agree to the payment provider’s terms and conditions in addition to these Terms.

6.3 Recurring Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through account settings or by contacting our payment provider directly. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until the end of the period for which you have paid.

6.5 Refunds

Refund eligibility is determined by our payment provider’s refund policy as the Merchant of Record. CtrlViews does not independently process refunds outside of the payment provider’s standard procedures.

6.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes your agreement to the new price.

6.7 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your subscription until payment is resolved.

7. Token System

  • Free accounts are credited with a limited token balance upon registration.
  • Paid subscription plans provide a larger token balance and may include monthly token replenishment.
  • Tokens consumed through AI operations are non-refundable unless there was a verifiable technical error on our side.
  • Guest users (unauthenticated) receive a limited number of tokens stored in a browser cookie. These tokens are lost when the cookie expires.
  • Tokens have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for currency.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CtrlViews only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, rate limits, Row Level Security policies, or authentication mechanisms
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Service without our express written permission
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit harmful, abusive, or objectionable content
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to interact with the Service without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network connected to the Service

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to any user who violates these provisions.

9. AI-Generated Content

CtrlViews uses AI language models (currently powered by OpenAI) to generate content suggestions, ratings, schedules, and recommendations. By using AI features, you acknowledge:

  • AI-generated content is provided for informational and creative assistance purposes only.
  • AI outputs may contain inaccuracies, errors, or suggestions that are not appropriate for your specific situation.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and making decisions based on AI-generated content.
  • CtrlViews makes no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated outputs.
  • Content generated through AI features may not be unique; similar outputs may be generated for other users.

10. Third-Party Platforms

CtrlViews integrates with Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. By using these integrations:

  • Your use of these platforms is governed by each platform’s own terms of service and policies.
  • CtrlViews is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch, YouTube (Google), or Kick.
  • We are not responsible for changes to third-party APIs, access restrictions, or data availability imposed by these platforms.
  • If a platform revokes or restricts our API access, the corresponding features may become unavailable.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 Our Property

The Service, including its software, design, content, trademarks, and aggregated platform data, is owned by or licensed to CtrlViews. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

11.2 Your Content

Content you input into CtrlViews (calendar items, descriptions, context provided to AI features) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant CtrlViews a limited license to process and store your input content solely to provide the Service to you.

12. Privacy

Your use of CtrlViews is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Service Availability and Modifications

  • We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
  • Planned maintenance may cause temporary unavailability.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions, modifications, or discontinuations.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CTRLVIEWS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Platform analytics data is sourced from third-party APIs and is subject to the accuracy and availability of those platforms. We do not guarantee that statistics displayed on CtrlViews are real-time accurate.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CTRLVIEWS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CTRLVIEWS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by applicable law. For users in Türkiye, the laws of the Republic of Türkiye apply. We encourage you to contact us at noreply@ctrlviews.com before pursuing any formal dispute resolution, as many issues can be resolved informally.

17. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the “Last Updated” date when changes are made. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
